Learning is understanding, and those who understand rule the world.
Striving for growth should be the ultimate human goal. Stagnation leads to paralysis and deterioration. It sucks people in and it’s difficult to change. A lot of people also suck at finances, in part because of this. They don’t care or don’t know how to step out for growth.
Humans are interesting as they blame others for their insuccess. They blame the society and politicians. For some, no matter who is in a position of power, they must have committed fraud to get there. It’s just unbelievable to them that anyone can get there. Even though the amount of work might be different for different people.
Consumption is another part of this. Some just consume beyond their possibilities with no clear goal for growth. It actually sets them back in the long term, and gives them minimal happiness, status, prestige or whatever they were after. It's a no brainer.
Spending money on things you like is absolutely a good thing, but it should provide some kind of value in the future, or provide opportunities for growth. Everyone does whatever they want with their money but creating a culture of blaming and stagnation doesn’t get us anywhere.
